NLE Choppa first rose to fame with the release of his hit single “Shotta Flow.” This track has amassed millions of views and streams and even gained him respect from other rappers such as Meek Mill and Stevie Wonder.

Since his viral post went viral, Choppa has implemented lifestyle changes that he credits as having positively enhanced his life, such as daily meditation and veganism.

He is a member of the Shotta Fam

Nle choppa age is part of Memphis-based underground rapper collective Shotta Fam, founded by late rapper Scrap Magic and comprised of various local artists. Their music can often be likened to that of gangsta hip hop acts like YoungBoy Never Broke Again.

Choppa launched his musical career in 2012 under his mother Angelita Potts’ management. Influenced by Lil Baby and Roddy Ricch, his songs incorporate both gangsta rap and melodic beats for maximum impact – these have proven popular on social media.

He first came to public awareness via his collective’s cypher-style song titled “No Chorus Pt 3,” where his opening verse and dance moves made an immediate impression online, sparking numerous YouTube reaction videos. Later that same year, Cottonwood was released as his debut extended play release.

Choppa is known for his cinematic music videos that combine dramatic scenes and fast-paced dancing into captivating cinematic masterpieces. His first video, Step, showcased an exuberant performance by Choppa as he danced his way through a school corridor.

“Narrow Road,” Choppa’s second video, shows off a more reflective side. The lyrics deal with topics related to street life, perseverance and personal growth; featuring guest verse from Lil Baby who delivers an impressive verse; its production is elegant with trap drums and an atmospheric synth piano accompaniment; making this track one of his finest collaborations to date – along with “Self Esteem,” where they seamlessly fuse hip-hop and R&B into an exquisite track.

NLE Choppa, a Memphis rapper who has achieved much success in the music industry. Additionally, he has used his fame to benefit the local community – recently attending a town hall discussion held by Black Men Crowned on issues that affect youth such as mental health and crime.

Bryson Lashun Potts, better known by his stage name NLE Choppa, burst onto the hip-hop scene with his platinum-certified hit “Shotta Flow.” Since then he has released several albums and mixtapes under this moniker, serving as an inspiring role model to young artists who share similar ambitions.
